The US: Many HCPs in the US confirmed that they prescribe generic drugs to more than 61% of their patients. As the demand for drugs is increasing, governments are exerting pressure on doctors to prescribe cheaper generic medicines.

France: French physicians also indicated a strong uptake in generics use during the past five years and expected a further increase in the future. More than 34% of French HCPs reported using generic drugs. Physicians also confirmed the increasing trend in generic drug use during the past five years, and more than 60% of the survey respondents believed that generic uptake would increase in the next five years as well. This is the highest reported number across the surveyed countries.
